We are all about improving the lives of young carers.
We meet up regularly to work together to campaign on issues that affect us.

Here is a film made by people in YCNV to tell you more about it.

Another great young carers campaigning session! We had 14 young people from 7 areas.
One step closer to finishing the national young carers assembly resource pack for schools thanks to your amazing ideas👏
Hope to see many of you at tomorrow's letter writing session😊

Join our letter writing session to Sir Martyn Oliver, the chief inspector of Ofsted on Tuesday the 4th of February, 5-6.30pm.📧
In the letter, we want to highlight that Ofsted should recognise young carers as a group which face barriers that needs extra support.
We will also ask in the letter for Martyn Oliver to meet with some young carers at Young Carers Action Day on Wednesday, 12th March.
Speak to your young carers worker if you want to take part or find out more.😉

In our last meetup young people shared their views on young carers rights for #CarersRightsDay 2024
📌Young carers in England have the right to information and to an assessment of the support they need from the council.
📌Find out more in our LINK IN BIO and read the guide explaining what those rights are.

In the second year of the network (2021-22), the group wanted their collective campaign to focus on mental health.
In the first year of the network (2020-21), the group wanted their collective campaign to focus on identifying and supporting young carers in education settings.
We want to get young carers identified in schools so they can access support earlier, as well as getting Ofsted to ask about young carers in school inspections.
