This year (2023-24), the group wanted to focus on reducing impacts on young carers’ health and wellbeing: 

  • We had a say in the APPG for Young Carers and Young Adult Carers Inquiry - we submitted a joint video of 23 young people’s voices from across England, and created the 7 Asks Video for campaign use

  • Wrote to the Minister for Health and Social Care and the shadow Minister to request for a meeting

  • Made a film and building a YCNV website (this website!) to raise awareness and reach more young carers.

  • Messaged influencers and celebrities to raise awareness about young carers - a few responded and shared on their social media
